who are never satisfied, who want the best for their children: high quality, without throwing money away. We love spending time with our children, but it''s never enough ... then we decided to make family time even more special.
For us and our children, we are looking for products that are innovative and high in educational content.
Our story began in 2014 : friends and mothers with long managerial experience in the digital field behind us, we created Mukako, the first Italian e-commerce dedicated to products for children.
Thanks to our site''s LiveChat, we''ve had the opportunity to talk to you parents, get to know you and understand your needs.
What did you ask us for in the loudest of voices?
And so...MUtable was born, a modern reinterpretation of the children''s table, Italian design, and an internationally award-winning product , which offers a world of possibilities in just a single table
We don''t spare a single penny to provide the best quality, instead, we cut all the unnecessary steps of the classic distribution.
Because going through distributors, shops, retailers quadruples the price of products, by delivering our products directly to your home, we can offer you the best design at an affordable price.
The rest can be told by families from all parts of the world who have chosen us in recent years: in just 2 years since the launch, 28,000 children in about 40 countries are playing with MUtable!
A success of an unexpected scale, which gave us a great push to dare further and set for ourselves an even more ambitious goal: to redesign the entire bedroom.
MUtable was the pioneer of the evolutionary and educational game idea and on these same values we designed MUwall, the fully customizable equipped wall that grows, changes and adapts to the needs of children and teenagers.
To date, we are still working on completing MUwall, but our ideas are certainly not finished!
Our approach is inspired by the Montessori method and in particular by the principle of the child's independence. Encouraging their autonomy through the possibility of having games and tools within their reach, the freedom to choose which activities to do to follow their inclinations and the opportunity to learn to tidy up in a fun and playful way, allows the child to grow and learn in a natural and effective way

So here''s how we developed our games, following Montessori principles:
They are modular and customizable, to adapt to the different stages of growth
Two friends, both managers, mothers and businesswomen.
We present to you : Elisa and Martina:
Martina, a Bocconi graduate, MBA from Harvard School and a long managerial career in high finance, she has always had an innate passion for design. A passion that found a way to express itself when she decided to reinvent herself and invest in a project of her own. An aspect that is very close to her heart:
"The key to my story has been the continuous search for change and innovation, the will to get involved without fear of making mistakes. Mistakes and continuous learning are essential for growth. These are values that I share with all our team but that I try to teach my children too"
Elisa, Finnish mom and Italian dad, a mix of cultures that allows her to have a free and multifaceted vision. Growing up in Milan, graduated in finance from Bocconi and with long experience as Chief Financial Officer in a digital and international context, she has always had a a strong vison of the future:
"Martina and I started Mukako because we wanted to find practical solutions to the problems we face every day as mothers. Thus we''ve made it this far, what I want to show my daughter more than anything else is that she never has to put any limits on her ambitions."
As well as our products, the Mukako team is constantly evolving: when we started in 2014, one room was enough to hold us all, while today, just 5 years away, we are almost 30 in number, a large majority of them being women!
Our office is increasingly crowded, but it has a wonderful view: the Milan Cathedral! Oh yes, we are really immersed in the beating heart of design, fashion and innovations in Italy.
Choosing the perfect name to baptize our start-up was like deciding the name of our children We were inspired by Elisa''s mother''s hometown, Finland, which for years was ranked as the best country in the world to be a mother. And so from the union of two Finnish words the name Mukako was born which means "the box that gives you time together". Like the Northern European countries, famous for their ultra-modern conception of motherhood, we too share the value of giving quality time to families! For MUtable we started from the same root and we created a play on words to present our changeable table (in English = MUtable) to the world! And so on MUwall ... what do you think our next line of products will be called?
